World Day of Prayer

The World Day of Prayer is an annual, global ecumenical movement led by Christian women, observed on the first Friday of March. In 2025, this day falls on March 7.

Each year, a different country prepares the worship service, focusing on a specific theme.

For 2025, the women of the Cook Islands have developed the program around the theme "I Made You Wonderful," inspired by Psalm 139:1-18.

The Cook Islands, a group of 15 islands in the South Pacific, have a rich Christian heritage dating back to 1821 when the London Missionary Society introduced the Gospel. Despite challenges like declining attendance since the COVID-19 pandemic, the spirit of prayer remains strong among those who participate.

A number of women from St. Andrew's are planning to attend.
